Christine upped her fangirl credibility immensely by mentioning: The Ewok Adventure (1984) (TV Movie) aka "Star Wars: Ewok Adventures - Caravan of Courage". This was both a television movie and television that not many Star Wars fans are aware of. Check it out on imdb.com.

Experience the Saga of Celebrity Fanboy - Joe Corroney

Friday, November 30th at 11:00 PM EST

Joe Corroney has been a licensed Lucasfilm artist since 1997 providing art for books, games, trading cards, comic books, posters and magazines in the Star Wars universe. After reviewing Joe’s artwork bibliography you will think of him as the James Brown – “hardest working man” – of the art world of super heroes, sci-fi, horror, fantasy and adventure.  In addition to his huge professional and unpublished portfolio Joe somehow finds the time to teach.

Joe has been the instructor of the Comic Book Illustration Course at the Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio and taught the Ohio State University's Summer Comic Book Workshop. He is also a celebrity member of theFORCEbook.com. I originally met Joe on theFORCEbook.com via his posts and was lucky enough to meet him at Star Wars Celebration VI where I purchased his Star Wars Celebration VI Limited Edition Print which celebrates the 30th anniversary of Return of the Jedi. I also fell in love with other concepts he had on display that I had to purchase! I can’t wait to talk to him about those pieces in particular as well as his vast body of work.

We will also, of course, discuss his Star Wars fanboy status, as well as his interest in many other fanboy pursuits. Not the least of which are Indiana Jones, Star Trek and more.

To celebrate the momentous occasion of Joe Corroney’s interview on the podcast, November 30th at 11pm EST, we will have a special contest - Joe Corroney Custom Sketchcard Contest.

a Rafflecopter giveaway chosen by Random.org
the winner is theFORCEbook.com member...
TrenchRunRebels

POST on theFORCEbook.com before the podcast ends and you can still enter to win!
All you have to do is:

(1)    Follow Joe Corroney on theFORCEbook.com (Which means you must be a member.) before the end of the show on November 30th, and

(2)    Post the name of the Star Wars character that you would like to appear on your black and white sketch card to this theFORCEbook.com post.

It’s that simple. Once completed you are automatically entered into the random drawing. The winner will be posted on the website at the end of the pre-recorded show.

Lin-zy Busch has the Power of the Force, FanGirl!

Friday, November 16th at 11:00 PM EST

Meet Lin-Zy...She illustrates...she fabricates...she even rocks puppetry. She's an all around creative visionary!

The Power of the FORCE Girls were born when Lin-Zy wondered,“what would happen if George Lucas (Star Wars, Indiana Jones) and Craig McCracken (Powerpuff Girls, Dexter’s Laboratory) fell in love and had a baby, creatively-speaking.”
Lin-Zy is a professional artist who has illustrated and designed for Star Wars, Hollywood is Dead and Dodge Charger (We all know that's a personal favorite of mine!). Lin-Zy was also asked to participate in the “As You Wish” charity art helmet project at Star Wars Celebration VI, this August 23-16 in Orlando, Florida and designed her helmet into a Lego Star Wars Clone Trooper. Lin-Zy has described herself as, "the biggest fan-girl there is." We can't wait to chat with her about life, art and Star Wars!

RECAP

What fun it was interviewing celebrity fangirl Lin-Zy Busch. Lin-Zy advised us that the next episode of the Power of the Force Girls will most likely appear around June 2013. During our conversation that was not aired, Lin-Zy revealed that she and Matt Busch are planning an extended trip to several countries in the Far East and therefore will not be attending any conventions until after their return early next year.
Lin-Zy also mentioned that she is working on several new projects yet to be released and still quite hush-hush. We can't wait to see these works once released. Lin-Zy was able to share that she is working on some new puppet characters as well.

Other big news is that Lin-Zy will be producing the film written and directed by, her awesome husband, Matt Busch - Aladdin 3477, the 1500 year anniversary of Star Wars (This was a major anniversary episode, lol). Check out the web page at http://www.aladdin3477.com/. You can also check out the youtube video announcing the film. Happy belated Birthday Matt!

Looks like many interesting things on the horizon for Lin-Zy & Matt Busch!

RECAP - Additional Info

Interviewing Lizzi was so much fun that we ran out of time before getting to the following question. Her response was eloquent, charming and very much worth posting for all to see:

What do you like most about the Neimoidians and Duros? and What role have they played in your life?

Lizzi's Response:

What do I like most about them? I think it's more a matter of what DON'T I like most about them. If we're talking physically, it has to be their eyes. They're like jewels - the brightness, the iridescence of the ferrous deposits (Neimoidians get an iron build-up in their eyes, which gives them a golden tint - true fact!), and the softness yet boldness of their pupils. Just beautiful! I'd collect Neimoidian eyes like one collects rocks, were it not so cruel. I also have an affinity for their adorable feet. If you've never seen a Neimoidian foot, have a look at my Neimoidian anatomy charts, or try and find concept art for The Clone Wars episode "The Senate Spy." There are some toga-clad Neimoidian statues in Lott Dod's palace, and their open-toed sandals give an excellent view of their feet.

Otherwise, I think what I like best about the Neimoidians and the Duros, as a whole, is that you really get a bit of everything with them. You've got friendly, adventurous Duros, and the refined and reserved Neimoidians; explorer and aristocrat, pilot and noble. Both are intelligent and incredibly beautiful. I do, admittedly, lean slightly more towards the Neimoidians; not only are they familiar in terms of culture and diplomacy, when compared with my own life, but, as I said, they're refined, they're mellow, they appreciate beauty and the finer things life has to offer. I also think they have generally softer physical features than the hardy Duros, and are easier on the eye.

As for what role they've played in my life, while they have, more or less, and in one way or another, been there for the majority of my life, it's really only in the past three years that they've played a significant role. First, they've been my art subject of choice since early 2010; because of their constant influence and inspiration, they've allowed me to improve my art to points I never thought I'd reach. They've influenced my spending habits, considerably, since I began my Neimoidian/Duros collection, and, on a more personal level, they've given me a constant refuge and source of joy and have seen me through some incredibly difficult times. Most significantly, however, I think, in many ways, they've caused me to readjust my social views and become more open-minded. The one thing you constantly have to remind yourself is "they are NOT human," and, therefore, do not follow human standards. Different things are acceptable and unacceptable to them than to us; if we continually judge everything with respect only to ourselves, and never in another being's or person's terms, then it becomes extremely easy to fall into prejudice and hate. While I say this with regards to Neimoidians, I think it's actually a very big life lesson we can all learn.

"You never really know a man until you understand things from his point of view, until you climb into his skin and walk around in it" - To Kill a Mockingbird
